First and foremost, congratulations to Oh Well for winning the Entrance Tournament with three dominating victories. It was a very successful ET that allowed us to gauge a new crease that'll both improve game-play and make officiating that much easier. The new crease will be implimented into the soccer brawl public zone sometime between now and then, pending Mode's availability.
Nonetheless, a schedule will be released later this week and captains will be available to begin scheduling shortly thereafter. Thanks. |

Soccer Brawl 12 Entrance Tournament, posted by Calipari

The 12th Annual Soccer Brawl League Entrance Tournament will be held on Sunday, June 7th. As of right now, a bracket has not been crafted as squads have yet to be finalized. We do ask that all squads looking to participate have at least -10- squad joined players by this upcoming Friday. (The 31st of May.) Such is required so that we have enough time to construct said tournament and issue a match schedule in timely fashion.
I will also now be accepting any inquiries for those whom may have an interest in reffing this upcoming season. As always, all are welcome though you must have previously displayed some form of intelligence and capability at some point in your soccer brawl career.
Alas, if there are any questions or anything of that nature -- do let me know and I'll do what I can to answer them. |

To begin, Rob[rB] takes the Best of the Rest Tournament MVP Award with two outstanding goalie performances.
Likewise, Moskau captures the Play-off MVP Award after too, displaying fantastic goaltending abilities over the course of 5 games.
Who doesn't love a good goalie? (besides the players shooting on them.)
Moving on...
The media reports we had the opportunity to watch/hear were fun for all.
It seems the majority of you enjoyed the videos crafted by bountyhunters113. Highlight videos are certainly something to look back on, wether you played awesome or in the case of Rockmono, just want to see how bad you are. One came in a close second with squad breakdowns for every squad. Detailed videos mixed with both humor and good analysis proved to be something a bit different. He was followed by Vanishing, whom has quite the stellar videos, but was kept busy most of the season and didn't ouput the majority that bounty did.
We also had quite a few good reads this season with most favoring One's in depth breakdowns. Rockmono's weekly power rankings offered a good insight on the weekly up's and downs, as he pulled in a second place vote. Gatusso snuck in at third curtosy of his rather hilarious interviews.
And the people that help keep things in order? I already informed my staff of this, but a follow-up certainly needs to be issued to the public.
Mysfire reffed the most matches and accumulated a total of 30.5 points. Simply an outstanding job and an important cog in keeping things running smoothly.
Three new refs followed him with Gil coming in at 20.5 Points, P on his heels at 18 and Feelucky keeping it close with 12.
Everyone should be well aware that at the beginning of the season, we offered up rewards for those players who helped make the league a more enjoyable one for everyone. They were as follows:
$35 voted best written reporter
$15 voted second best written reporter
$35 voted best media reporter
$15 voted second best media reporter
$50 for most games referred
$30 for second most games refereed
$20 for third most games refereed
I will be speaking to Rien and these players some time this week to assure that such gets handed out as appropriate and again, thanks to all these players for aiding in one of the best, if not the best season yet.

"What are some things you're hoping to see for season 12?"
This is a league for the players, so all suggestions will certainly be fieled and reviewed and we'll give the good ones a vote, and the best ones a test. Have something you think'll improve the league? Throw it on there. We're always looking for ways to improve and make things funner for the community as a whole. I hope next season will be just as competitive and fun as the previous and such can only be accomplished with a solid community alike the one we displayed previously. Keep it up.

Congratulations to the Gardeners as they bested Gil n Pals in 3 games to take the SBL 11 Championship. All three games were close and competitive throughout with Gardeners taking the first game 4-2, GnP taking the second game 4-1 and Gardeners sealing the deal 4-1 in the final game.
I wish to thank the playerbase for the wonderful season as we saw more competitive squads and games then we ever have. Let's keep it up in moving to season 12 which I estimate will occur within the next 3-5 weeks. That means get your squads in order to make a run at the gold.

After review of the details with both Delcor and Bronco, I've decided that both squads had every opportunity to show the required amount of players. I had posted 45 minutes before the match time that no games would be canceled if such could be avoided. Stand Alone Mode ended 10 or 15 minutes prior to game time and multiple referees were there with the arena made. While this is unfortunate, I feel that common sense suggests that one logs-in at game-time and not just simply leaves based on assumptions, especially if one had already made plans to be at there at the designated time to begin with. Having this been said, I -will- permit a replay to occur should Flips choose to extend that offer to Death Row. I need an answer to this (from bounty) by 11est tomorrow night so that scheduling can be arranged if a rematch is to occur. |

Due to Infantry being in Stand-Alone Mode, we are unable to currently play games. However, this does NOT mean all games are cancelled. If the game is still in SAM during your game, then said game will be delayed till later in the week or next Sunday. I am hoping that the servers will be up sometime soon, though I have no knowledge of the matter. If by 7:00 EST, the servers are not back up, then ALL GAMES will be cancelled, but not until then. In the result of such, this entire week will be pushed back to next week and we will continue in that manner. Stick around until 7:00 EST. Still plenty of time for them to right the ship. |

Over the past couple weeks, some recent events have occurred that need to be enforced. The following players will be banned from participating in soccer brawl league for the stated periods.
1. Dekar -- Extended to indefinite. He was again caught hacking as was confirmed to me by more then one moderator. Hackers are not tolerated in Soccer Brawl League regardless of where they chose to `hack`.
2. Pacquiao -- The remainder of the season. He will also no longer be able to create squads in Soccer Brawl League. Leaving a squad you're captain of mid-season once? Shame on you. Leaving a squad you're captain of mid-season twice? Shame on me.
3. SV -- One game (Week 6 or 7). I'll leave the choice up to him as to not handicap his squad if they were relying on such for the upcoming week. Racism in the "mysfire" thread. Previously warned for racism twice. You're more then welcome to argue a call, but leave racism out of it. |

After gauging the opinion of the commitee, bronco and Delcor, I've decided to introduce a standard 8 team play-off format. While I personally have never cared for a format that has allowed the majority of squads in, the opinion of the aforementioned was mostly consensus in favor of such. Because said players are all respectable members of the community, and this is a league for the players, I have chosen to forgo my own judgement on the subject. Eight teams it is. Fight for your lives. :)
